Set on the Eastern Front in 1943, Soviet soldiers are faced with an unexpected situation: a young adult alone in the middle of the battlefield. Aslan is torn between eliminating what could be a possible threat to his soldiers or leaving the boy to die, ultimately deciding to take the risk and take him in, deciding to make him an ally and new soldier. What he doesn't know is that he will end up becoming more attached to this recruit than he planned.
