JJ only defended you against the Kooks and their cruelty. So why was he the one in trouble? Why did the whole town act like he was worthless, hopeless? You couldn't stand it. And you couldn't stand the defeated look on JJ's face. He deserved better, and you were going to do whatever you had to do to give it to him.
