When the Rabbids invaded their homeland (the Glade of Dreams), Rayman abandoned his friends, Magician being one of him, in fact! The Magician was his mentor. Magician had become insanely obsessed with him, this includes him dressing similar, and drawing a white circle everywhere (the symbol Rayman used to wear). Magician even went out of his way to collect a single bow tie from Rayman’s modern form.
