The M&P15 is Smith & Wesson's entry into the AR-15 rifle market. Stylized after the M4, it is a gas-operated semi-automatic rifle chambered for the 5.56 NATO round. The M&P15 may seem like a generic rifle, but became infamous in 2020 after an incident during civil unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
