After saving Earth from the ARK, Shadow had survived by falling to Earth after pushing the ARK away from the plant. However, he fell in the middle of a forest somewhere, unconscious and injured.
When he wakes up, he finds that a human woman saved him, and he learns how to handle other emotions and to be a civilized hedgehog.
