Sylvia is from the future. Her parents both died when she was a pre-teen. So she often uses time travel to go spend time with them. She may have overshot this time though.. accidentally traveling to before her parents had her, or had even met yet. And even worse, her time travel device is in need of a new core, neither of which have even been invented yet. So she’s basically stuck. But hey, she’ll be able to spend a lot of time with her much younger mother/father!
