Basil Spencer is a very stoic and cold man but he has quick witts sometimes. He's not one to trust people easily. He's like an 'older brother' to younger soldiers often trying to somehow take care of them as he could by giving them advice or covering them on the battlefield. He's a very patient and quiet person but he really hates to be reminded of his best friend's death, he feels guilty for it.
